Meet the experienced and friendly doctors and staff who make Huxley Vision Clinic the leading provider of vision care products and services in Huxley.

Dr. Robb Schmidt

Dr. Robb Schmidt grew up in Elgin, North Dakota and attended the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks graduating with a degree in Biology in 1998.

Dr. Schmidt then enrolled at the Illinois College of Optometry, graduating in 2003 after externing at the Wolfe Eye Clinic in Ames, Iowa. He also did clinical rotations at the Illinois Eye Institute in Chicago and Quentin Burdick Memorial Hospital in Belcourt, N.D.

In February of 2008, Dr. Schmidt opened the Huxley Vision Clinic. He has over 15 years of experience in the optical field working as an optician at JCP Optical and Sterling Optical while a student in Grand Forks and at Kosmos Optical in Chicago while attending optometry school.

Dr. Schmidt is a member of the Iowa Optometric Association, American Optomometric Association, Rotary International.

Dr. Schmidt and his wife also own and operate the Nevada Vision Clinic.

Dr. Lisa Domino

A central IA native, Dr. Lisa Domino, grew up on her family’s farm just south of Mccallsburg, IA.  She has practiced in area for the last seven years and loves serving the local community.  Dr. Domino received her bachelor of science degree from Wartburg College (2004) and earned her doctorate of optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry (2008).  She is a comprehensive optometrist specializing in:

  • Primary vision care
  • Contact lens fittings
  • Pediatric eye care
  • Urgent eye care
  • Pre- and post-operative eye care

When not getting to know her patients better, Dr. Domino can be found keeping up with her three sons along with her husband Steve.
